Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

You absolutely can book your own vacation online—but that doesn’t mean you have to do it alone.

When you work with me, you’re not getting a call center, a chatbot, or a generic booking website. You’re getting a real person who takes the time to learn what’s important to you and helps guide you through the planning process from start to finish.

I help clients narrow down options, answer questions, provide recommendations, monitor important deadlines, and avoid common mistakes that can impact a vacation experience. Many of the destinations, resorts, cruise ships, and experiences I recommend come from my own firsthand travel experiences, allowing me to offer practical insights you won’t find on a booking website.

And if questions come up before your trip—or even while you’re traveling—you have someone you can reach out to who knows you and your vacation plans.

My goal isn’t simply to make a reservation. It’s to help you plan a vacation that fits your family, your travel style, and your budget while making the entire process easier and more enjoyable.

Usually, no! Most of the vacations I book do not have any booking fees. I am typically compensated by the travel suppliers, such as cruise lines, resorts, and tour companies.

Many travelers don’t realize that those commissions are often built into the vacation price whether they use a travel advisor or not. Since the cost of working with a travel advisor is often already built into the vacation price, you might as well have someone in your corner to help with the planning, answer questions, and take care of the details.
For more complex trips that require significant research, custom itinerary design, or coordination of multiple destinations, a planning fee may apply. If so, I’ll always discuss it with you in advance so you know exactly what to expect.

No booking fees. No surprises. Just personalized travel planning and support from start to finish.

Not at all!

While Disney vacations were one of the things that first inspired me to become a travel advisor, they make up only a small portion of the trips I plan today. I love helping clients create unforgettable vacations of all kinds, whether that’s a Caribbean cruise, an adults-only all-inclusive resort, a family trip to Disney, or a custom itinerary exploring multiple destinations.

Some of the vacations I can help with include:

• All-inclusive resorts throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America

• Cruises on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, Princess, Carnival, MSC, Virgin Voyages, and many more

• Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood

• U.S. destinations, including beaches, national parks, cities, and theme parks

• Custom vacations tailored to your interests, budget, and travel style

• Tours, activities, excursions, and special experiences around the world

and of course

• Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, and Adventures by Disney

If you’re wondering whether I can help with a particular trip, just ask! Chances are, the answer is yes.

Absolutely!

If you’ve already booked your flights, hotel, cruise, or other vacation components but still feel a little lost when it comes to the details, I’d be happy to help.

My full-service planning and destination expertise are reserved for clients who book their travel through me, but I also offer planning consultations for travelers who have already made their own arrangements and would like professional guidance.

Whether you need help choosing excursions, creating an itinerary, understanding transportation options, planning park days, or simply getting answers to your travel questions, we can schedule a consultation tailored to your needs.

Planning consultation fees vary depending on the complexity of the trip and the level of assistance needed. I’ll always discuss any fees with you upfront so you know exactly what to expect.

Sometimes all you need is an experienced traveler to help connect the dots and give you confidence before you go!

In a word: ABSOLUTELY!

While every traveler’s situation is different and the type of coverage needed can vary from trip to trip, I strongly recommend that every client protect their vacation investment with travel insurance.

Over the years, I’ve seen far too many situations where travel insurance made all the difference—whether it was a last-minute illness, a family emergency, weather disruptions, travel delays, lost luggage, or unexpected medical expenses while traveling. I’ve also seen the stress and financial loss that can occur when travelers choose to go without coverage.

My goal is for you to be excited about your vacation, not worried about what might happen if something unexpected comes up. Travel insurance provides peace of mind, knowing that you’ve taken steps to protect both your trip and your financial investment.

I’ll help you understand the coverage options available and determine which plan is the best fit for your specific vacation and travel needs. While the decision is always yours, I strongly encourage every traveler to consider travel insurance an essential part of their trip planning.
